A LITTLE ABOUT ALPINE INSIGHT

My name is Quentin, I'm 27 and I love the mountains. This is my website!

I grew up all over. I started climbing with my parents in the UK, earlier than my memory allows. When I was 12, I moved to South Germany and joined the school climbing team. At 15, I had moved to Cape Town, South Africa where I clipped bolts on sandstone, and also got half decent at skateboarding and surfing. I landed on the West coast of Canada when I was 17 and got my first taste of Squamish granite. I then moved to the Canadian Rockies, where I worked toward guiding. After a few years, I realized that guiding wasn't for me, and decided to take Mechanical Engineering at UBC Okanagan.

My climbing progressed dramatically while I was at school. I didn't go to class much and travelled all over the States, Asia, and South America to climb. Now that I've graduated, I am beyond stoked to have so much time on my hands. When I'm not on an alpine climbing trip, I'm usually climbing with my girlfriend Michele. When the money runs out, I work with a fantastic company based out of Vancouver called ConeTec.

I'm lucky to be supported by the very best: ARC'TERYX, Petzl, and more La Sportiva. I'm truly thankful to them for their support.
